Noticed for myself and all others in the search for online MBA's that Brenau University located in Georgia has several online MBA programs and also offers programs in Education oline. Tuition is listed at $402 an hour w/ a $75 semster technology fee. In other words, the degree would come out to a little less than $15,000 - a pretty good deal for a RA online graduate degree - from a private university espescially. If you were awarded any grants this could be a even better deal.

Was wondering if anybody else had applied to this school and if the selectiveness outlined from the link on their homepage to USNEWS.com (one of the top universities in the SE) only applied to the undergrads and if a particular GPA was needed for a grad program.... maybe a 3.0 will owrk?

I have not attended Brenau but there are members who do. If you are looking for an Online MBA program, I suggest Johnnie Liu's Distant learning page
    http://www.geocities.com/liu_jonathan/dlmba.html

There are many good DL MBA programs out there. Perhaps the next best question to ask you is there anything specific you are looking for in a program(e.g. AACSB accrediation or speciality)?

Brenau is an excellent women's college in Gainesville, GA (just northeast of Atlanta). They have a separate evening and weekend campus near Atlanta for working professionals that offers the MBA. live and online It's a legit program though not AACSB. It is very inexpensive and I considered it myself (I live in the Atlanta area). However, I wanted a school that was AACSB and chose UMass. I would highly recommend their program. Also, USNews has a good list of both AACSB (professionally accredited) and non-AACSB online MBA programs that are all pretty good. Here's the link: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/elearning/tables/mba_reg.htm

    Best of luck!

I am currently midway through the Brenau MBA, as you can see from my sig.

Brenau has a decent local reputation for professional education, but it is nowhere near a research powerhouse like Emory. It has practically zero MBA reputation beyond Georgia, either for the good or for the bad. I don't consider this a bad thing, necessarily. It's much better to have no reputation than a bad one. The main reason I picked it is because 1) the MBA in Leadership Development is very short and well-structured, meaning I can finish it quickly 2) it's a small school. Through prior educational experience I am extremely wary of bureacracy. I have had zero problems with Brenau administration but I know if I do I can pick up the phone and pretty much immediately talk to someone who knows how things work, or even drop by the local Atlanta office.

So far I am satisfied with the classes. I've had one professor who was kind of flaky, and another one whose style I just absolutely hate... I just realized I'm going to have to jump through hoops to avoid taking any more classes with him. Everyone else has been great.

Check out their website and see if you like the structure of the program.

The fact that the main campus is a woman's college doesn't really affect the composition of the Evening/Online classes... perhaps it does somewhat, since the classes I've had have been split down the middle, and I think MBA classes usually have more men than women. I actually have a personal thing against single-sex education of either type, so I feel like a bit of a hypoocrite for being a Brenau student!

They say that 3.0 is the cut-off for admission, but if you talk to the admissions office they will tell you it's somewhat flexible if the rest of your application is strong. I don't think they are terribly selective at the grad level.

I did a ton of research before deciding on Brenau, so even though my review isn't quite glowing, I can still definitely give it a positive recommendation. My one major piece of criticism at this point is that one of their main Evening/Online teachers just left for another job, and I think they really need a good replacement ASAP.
