By chance do any of these courses provide a certification. I enjoy taking courses to learn more information however I am looking to earn that piece of paper as well to prove to future employers I have the knowledge.

re: free nursing CEUS or medical CME

These courses are excellent. Note that, if you want a certificate, you MUST register, even if you do not want CEUs.

I was surfing around a bit and stumbled on this and thought it might be worth trying.

Is anyone familiar with Anacapa Science , Inc.? Has anyone tried the courses? It seems that you have to do all three modules (Introduction to Intelligence Analysis, Data Collection Tradeoffs, & Critical Thinking Strategies) in order to obtain a certificate. That may or may not be worth it for those looking for more certs in the mail.

I took Introduction to Intelligence Analysis and it was well worthwhile. Note that the course is about criminal intelligence, not state intelligence (like spying).

No certificate for the one course and I don't see anything about a certificate for completing all three.

    Anacapa Science

I completed Introduction to Intelligence Analysis and thought it was excellent. Data Collection Tradeoffs was a bit confusing.

The former deals more with domestic crime analysis while the later is more about terrorism.

Here's the url Anacapa Training anacapatraining.com/webtraining/index.html

No certificate offered online but the owners of the site have kindly offered to send one when you complete the three courses

    Hello,
Your posting of the links will help out a lot of people. Great job!

I was wondering, during your search for free study links, did you happen to come across any free links for nursing study material online?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Nursing Degrees
    Nursing Degrees
Registered nurses (RNs), regardless of specialty or work setting, treat patients, educate patients and the public about various medical conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients' family members. RNs record patients' medical histories and symptoms, help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.

•Registered nurses constitute the largest healthcare occupation, with 2.6 million jobs.
•The three typical educational paths to registered nursing are a bachelor's degree, an associate degree, and a diploma from an approved nursing program; advanced practice nurses — clinical nurse specialists, nurse anesthetists, nurse -midwives, and nurse practitioners — need a master’s degree.
•Job opportunities are expected to be excellent, but may vary by employment and geographic setting; some employers report difficulty in attracting and retaining an adequate number of RNs.

hi, i have seen this topic come up from time to time for career, and I think it is because there are plenty of people who are just as frugal as me. Have done much searching online for free courses that for free , while they may not offer credit, do offer an opportunity to learn something new. You can then take that knowledge and try to get credit for it through CLEP/Dantes or Prior Learning Assessment.

This is what EVERYONE should keep in mind when pursuing free courses. They are for your own benefit - but, could help you gain credit through testing. The certificates you get from some free online classes won't get you very far unless you are planning on testing out of classes that will count towards your degree.
