Blended means there is some on-campus time(courses) required. This is fine if you live close enough. It's a good program for those in the Illinois area.

    (1) Note that the MBA referred to herein is from the University of Illinois Chicago, which is not the Big Ten school (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign). However, note that UIC is AACSB.

    (2) Some online classes and some on-campus classes

Cheers! (You wanna go where everybody knows your name!)

The University of Illinois at Chicago (usually referred to as "UIC") is known as a top commuter school for Chicagoans and is quite a melting pot of different ethnic groups and international students. The famed Stanley Fish served as dean of the graduate school of arts and sciences until fairly recently and openly declared his goal of raising UIC to the status of a UCLA.

The Business School is AACSB and is especially known for entrepreneurship tracks and multiple dual degree programs (MBA/MSW, MBA/MPH, etc). I considered them some years ago but was disappointed with average starting salaries of master's grads, especially when compared to Northwestern and U of Chicago.

The biggest problem facing UIC these days seems to be money, and they received much criticism (IMHO well deserved) for eliminating the bachelor's program of the famed Jane Addams School of Social Work. But the neighborhood is gentrifying with zillion-dollar condos and certainly is becoming a nice spot for the B&M students.

U of I, the big ten Urbana-Champaign school, also allows some MBA courses to be taken off campus if not quite online, and they are forever teasing us by floating the idea of "satellite campuses" for the MBA that don't always solidify into an address. But these DL developments at U of I and UIC are great for those of us in the Praire State, in general N/A for those farther away.

Yep. More and more are trying to ditch the commute and building down there. I have a buddy that just did the Chicago move. He got tired of the commute from Hobart and decided to move near UIC.
