If more and more RA's begin accepting NA transfer credit, how will this play out? Will the RA's that do accept such credits become outpots..isolated form the rest? Or will some agreement have to be hammered out in which RA's transfer credit will be applicable, across the board to all Six RA regional bodies? It seems that all RA bodies will have to come together to either stem the tide or get on the same page in regards to acceptance....it's starting to look like a train wreck. Personally, I'm a RA fan but I've seen some of the work required at the graduate level with some NA schools, and it's a monster! Some of these NA schools could toe to toe with upper tier RA schools! Just wondering how all this will paly out; will it continue to seemingly be a mess or will everyone join hands? Gavin
The only ones tracking this are people who post on boards like this. It is likely the current situation--individual schools making these decisions--will continue. DETC is making a marked effort to change this. Perhaps they will succeed, even if it's one school at a time.
Transfer credits between RA to other RA schools is a mess. I can't imagine that transfer credits from NA to RA will ever be better than the RA to RA mess.
Is there a distinction between RA schools accepting NA credits and RA schools recognizing NA degrees? I should think that the degrees would be more acceptable.
