Received my B.S. degree in Administration of Criminal Justice today from Mountain State University in good ole WV. and I wanted to tell everyone. Found out about the program from this site a year and a half ago and enrolled at that time and now its all over. It was a really great program and they took all of my police academy training and previous transfer credits and applied them toward my degree. Next up for me three weeks off and on Oct. 24th I start the M.S. program in Law & Public Policy at California University of PA. Thanks to everyone that I have had the pleasure to talk to on this site. I can honestly say that had it not been for this site I would have never known about MSU or the masters program at CUP. Take care Badger
Congrats... I guess I am the newest version of yourself. I just enrolled in Southwestern College in KS because they were very liberal with credit acceptance. Like yourself, without this site and more specifically Gregg DesElms...I'd never have even heard of it. Hopefully, in about 18 months I will be making a similar post.
forest critters Thanks for the opportunity to congratulate a Badger while others are deferring to a weasel and its blog. (See off-topic.) Best of luck to you in your future endeavours. CUP is a great choice.
Congratulations and thanks for the great news. It's always great to hear another DL success story. Hopefully you'll stick around and pass along you're acquired knowledge and wisdom. Jack
CUP GRADUATE Badger, I graduated from the program at CUP and it was a great experience. Dr. Nemeth is the best! They are on the ball. Laurel is near perfect, very helpful. The program is involved but they know what they are doing. Professors are the best!
Badger, Congratulations and good luck on the master program. I completed my degree from Mountain State University in December of 2003. The experience was great and I am happy with my degree in Aviation Management. You will notice new opportunities related to your job with your new credential. It pays off fast. Carlos M. Lorie
Congratulations Congratulations Badger. It's nice to hear that someone was successful and that others were able to help.
Congrats! It is stories like yours that keep me motivated to work toward my degree. On question: how liberal is Mountain State with transfer credits? Do they consider ACE-evaluated course work or credits from NA schools? Thanks, and again, congrats!
TCord1964 You're the bomb! Hey TCord1964, You're the Bomb! What I mean is that you have been working so hard on your studies at Education Direct, and I think that you too are going to be a success story. Keep up the good work! It's cool to see such motivation. See this board truly has inspired and helped others.
Thanks to everyone for the congrats. TCord1964 in ref to your question all of my credits were transfer credits from colleges and courses I took at two different police academies in two different states. If you contact them at the 1800-766-6067 number I'm sure someone there will be able to tell you what they will and will not take in transfer. They do evaluate lots of courses and program so it does not hurt to ask. The one thing I can say about the staff at MSU is that they really care about the students every step of the way from enrollment to graduation. I did not want to make the over 3 hour drive to the main campus for graduation so they expressed mailed everything to me and I got my degree and alumni information the next day. I will keep everyone posted on my experience at CUP and hopefully within the next year I will have my masters as well. Take care Badger
