I've been trying to find info on Colorado Technical University, but the search feature is really bad now with the move to the new server. Can some one tell me how to search old threads (or even pull them up) on this school so that I will know for future referece?

    Thanks :)

The one thing I don't like about CTU is that they have "live" lectures by web conference. To me, the major advantage of DL is the ability to "attend" class whenever it's convenient for the student.

I play Mr. Mom during the day, and work 4pm-12am. I also teach online courses, but most of my teaching activity is between 12:30am-2am, so live web conferences wouldn't work for me.

It's your students who would be complaining loudest.

    Lecture are Not Mandatory

CTU does not make the weekly lectures mandatory, it is highly encouraged. All earlier lectures can be read at your leisure.

    Re: Lecture are Not Mandatory

Sorry, I didn't make it clear, I meant from a teaching perspective. As Bill alluded to above, I don't think midnight lectures would go over too well with the students. :D

CTU is almost always advertising for adjunct faculty, and I'm willing to bet the live lectures are a big turn-off to prospective employees.
