Agreed! That was such an important stand for them to take.

Great news!! I hope that te media will take notice.
    I have a question:
Is there any AACSB Accredited DL MBA, that does not require the GMAT?
    Thanks

I know of at least one school (FSU) that will accept the GRE instead of the GMAT if you have already taken the GRE within the past 5 years. And another (Marist) that will wave the GMAT if you already have a masters degree.

Do you fit into either category?

UMass waives the GMAT if you have any sort of doctorate.

For every online program but for the top few, it's a non-issue. Just study for the GMAT and take it, they don't base admissions to such programs--as near as I can tell--so much on those criteria. Even the best programs--such as Duke, Purdue, ASU, Florida, Indiana--look more at other factors such as work experience, past business accomplishments, etc. rather than GMATs and GPAs.

The university of Wyoming does not require the GMAT for online students there is a thread about that here, you may want to try the search feature(good luck!). Texas A&M-Commerce will Waive the GMAT if your UG GPA is high enough(3.0 or above I believe)

To bad I have a feeling all of this will fall on deaf ears. I am very much in agreement with the AACSB in this matter. Yet, I also know that the rankings are a big money business for the schools and the periodicals mentioned. So I think no matter what any one says they are here to stay unfortunately.

I was wrong about TAMU-Commerce it's a GPA greater than 2.75 in your undergrad program to waive the GMAT.
    their website is here:

Thanks for the article, and to echo others, it is about time someone spoke up (like the AACSB) about the simple truth.
