The school is odd. It appears legit and even has some professional accreditations. However, I cannot find hide nor hair of any regional or national accreditation, http://www.ism.edu/
Yes, very odd. Also very interesting. I'll have to remember it down the road when I'm looking at DBA programs. I think I could make it to those New York seminars......
They are claiming accreditation through the following organizations none of which I am familiar with. US and European Accreditation Since its inception ISM has gained international recognition for its focused organizational structure and commitment to academic excellence. This recognition is demonstrated by the school's ACBSP accreditation, as well as membership in efmd in Europe and accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education in the United States. http://www.ism.edu/p_home.php
Has an admissions office in New York but apparently not a US institution. Should be legitimate if it's gotten past the NYS Board of Regents.
Interesting indeed. They appear to consider the DBA to be inferior to the PhD: http://www.ism.edu/p_dba.php Length Two years http://www.ism.edu/p_phd.php Length 2-3 years
They are definately listed as accrediated on the ACBSP & IACBE sites and are listed as an AACSB member(not accrediated). http://www.acbsp.org/index.php?mo=st&op=ld&sid=s1_025about&stpg=141 http://www.iacbe.org/ http://www.aacsb.edu/members/Omd3/Profile_page.asp?id=40194 They list Paris as there location. So I'd venture to say this school is legit, from the stand point of ACBSP accrediation is not a walk in the park and it is CHEA reconized.
