I live in Southeastern PA and have fond that many of the schools in my area such a Penn State, Villanova, and St. Joseph’s offer post MBA certificates. These are not to be confused with graduate certificates that only require the bachelors for admission. The post MBA programs require an MBA from a regionally accredited institution. I would like to hear opinions on the utility of such certificates. I was also wondering if anyone knows of distance learning programs that offer the post MBA certificate. I have done some searches but have only found graduate certificates offered through distance learning.
Can you pls. elaborate on what is this post MBA certificate. I am planning to join Penn State MBA and would like to know more about the post MBA certificate. Thanks
It is typically 12 hours beyond the MBA in a specialization such as Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, etc.
What's the functional difference between a post MBA certificate in a specialization and a post bachelor's grad certificate? The courses would be the same, it's just delving deeper into a specialization. Why don't you just expand your horizons to include all such programs? I think UC-Berkeley extension has a very affordable such grad cert program and you can pick your specialty. All online and you get to put one of the best schools in the U.S. on your resume. http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/
A better link to the cert program I mentioned above: http://explore.berkeley.edu/UCExt Oh by the way: I don't know much about the UCB program, so you might want to double check that they are grad level credit and not UG.
