http://www.aoaex.org/index.html What type of accreditation is this? I noticed throught the list a lot of familar colleges & universities (such as) that are close to me and heard of as well as colleges mentioned on these forums: Akron, The University of Bowling Green State University City University Cleveland State University Florida State University Franklin University West Virginia University Thomas Edison State College The Ohio State University - Columbus Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Regents College Ohio Northern University Notre Dame College Nazarene Bible College what is the story on this AOAEx.org?
"What type of accreditation is this?" In one word: bogus. The legitimate schools you see listed are victims of the "involuntary accreditation" process described on the policy page; in other words, the real schools did not request accreditation (nor would they), and are listed so as to give an impression of legitimacy for the three or four diploma mills scattered amongst the list. ------------------ Bill Gossett
Most of the universities listed don't even offer online programs, my university is listed and we don't offer any kind of online program, it is clear to me that the intention of this accreditation organization is to deceive people by including good name universities together with the less than wonderful Trinity College and University. These guys of trinity are the masters of fraud.
Thank you for posting this. I will notify my employing university's legal department and the legal departments of my alma maters (all were on this list). Mark
