After learning more about Capella, it seems their 6 credit quarter classes are equivalent to 4 credit semester classes.

Basically, you take 1.5 and multiply it by your semester classes.

So with that said, Capella will tell you that they cater to certain people, they're not just trying to fill in the numbers with anyone. And they offer a higher education. I was told this today by an advisor.

Ok, that's fine and dandy. But here's my question: How can Capella's 6 (equiv 4) credit English Comp (as an example) class be any more "higher ed" than Somewhere University's 3 credit English Comp class?

Basically, here's my point -- can someone tell me why I should basically pay more for my Gen Ed pre-req's at Capella, then somewhere else? English Comp is English Comp in my book.

Am I wrong? On crack? Punk?

    :)
