Please explain these UK institution awards.

    Greetings, everyone. I've enjoyed reading this message board for many months, and thought I would ask this question here as I am sure several of you can answer it.

    Recently, I've looked at some of the distance education programs in the UK. I've noticed that many programs offer the following:

    * University Certificate
    * Advanced University Certificate
    * Diploma in Higher Education (Dip HE)

    I was wondering if these correlate with anything our U.S. institutions award?
