Lerner -- whichever of you posted this -- can't you just summarize it and not copy-and-paste into these fora what is basically, to the rest of us, a spam? Please?

You wonder why you're getting so much criticism around here. Well I'm telling you it's because of posts like this... among other reasons.

Knock it off... both of you!

How is that any more spam than, say, a thread on the Harvard Extension program? He's a PE passing information on advanced degree options, by DL, for PEs. And from a good engineering school.

Re-read the words, decimon. C'mon... I know you're smart. Seriously. You're brilliant, obviously. That being so, can you not tell the difference between a more or less dispassionate calling of the board's attention to a degree program which may, additionally, include some low-key, "this sounds good to me" kind of recommendation; and the dripping-with-promotional language, advertising-rhetoric-crippled spam that Lerner has copied-and-pasted here?

A simple summary -- even if it included a few words of enthusiastic personal recommendation from Lerner -- along with a link, would have done the trick... and more credibly.

Neither Stevens Institute nor the NSPE needs any touting.

Agreed. So, given that, why must we endure Lerner's dripping-with-sales-rhetoric spam reprint that touts to the point of distraction?

You needn't. You are a free agent. What the other constituents of 'we' do is to the constituents to decide.

Someone seems bent on turning every thread in which he participates into a personal attack session.

I thank Lerner for sharing useful info, and for doing so despite the stifling environment of ad hominem insult and hostility created by the forum mind guards.

    lerner,
Thank you for the post. I didn't know Stevens had so many online options. If they were not so expensive ($920 per credit for MS) I might consider them.

    Thanks again,
    Steve
