I got a message from ED about something they are calling "continuing education courses."

"Check out our new online continuing education courses. These certificate courses are fun, fast, and convenient. Choose from: MCSE Certification; Stocks, Bonds, and Investing; Digital Photography; Learn to Buy and Sell on Ebay; and much more. For more information go to: www.ed2go.com."

I've always thought of continuing education as courses licensed professionals have to take in order to keep their licenses current, i.e. real estate agents, insurance salespersons, etc. These seem more like "extension" or "lifelong learning" courses.

I have to take so many computer courses every so many years for my license and the ones from ed2go work for that.

Some of the others do seem a little "odd" for CEU credits, BUT I was recently with my husband at an architechs meeting and they got some CEU credit for going on a wine tasting. I thought that was odd too.
