I am wondering if anyone knows of distance education programs that exist with continuous enrollment throughout the semester. I know of a community college system, where as long as the class maximum has not been filled, one can enroll for a second, third, or fourth starting date in the semester (and then would continue out the 16 week course until finished, which would obviously end much later than the end of the semester). I am looking for other similar programs...any leads?

    Thanks!

American Military University www.apus.edu has new start dates at the top of every month. Northcentral University www.ncu.edu also has a continuous enrollment deal.

I'm not sure if this is quite what you're looking foir, but there are a number of distance programs which aren't on a semester system at all (or at least give that as an option); University of Alaska, Fairbanks has "one year enrollment" as an option for many of it's courses: http://distance.uaf.edu/

    Greetings,

I suspect, but do not guarantee <g>, that the majority of the available correspondence courses offer year round enrollment. Some "major" purveyors or such courses (and other educational offerings) are, in no particular order, Ohio University (http://www.ohiou.edu/independent/), Oklahoma University (http://isd.ou.edu/), Louisiana State University (http://www.is.lsu.edu/defaultsm.asp), and Brigham Young University (http://ce.byu.edu/is/site/). This is BY NO MEANS a complete list.

I suspect that most of the colleges mentioned in the thread "Cheapest Undergraduate and Undergraduate Credits Available" (http://www.degreeinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3497) also offer year round enrollment for their correspondence courses.

    Cordially,

Not exactly what you are looking for, but Thomas Edison State College (TESC) has "rolling" semesters that begin on the 1st of each month (12 semesters a year).

    Cheers.

Thanks and these are great leads

Hey all...thanks for these suggestions. Any university or college that offers distance learning and has rolling class enrollment is exactly what I'm looking for! if anyone else has suggestions, I'll still be checking back for more ideas.
