fast bachelor MIS-CIS or MS in health administration degree

I am new to distance learning, please help me decide what will be the best option available to be me.

I have a Bachelor of Science Dietetics/Nutrition from Texas Southern University (TSU). I have never worked as a dietitian or in the hospital.

For last 6 years I have been working in IT as Network Analyst/Engineer.
I would like to get a Bachelor degree in MIS/CIS or BBA or MS in Health Administration from Online accredited college or use life experience degree.
I am not inclining toward life experience degree because I am not sure if I can use it for my master/PHD

Here is the big question
Should I go for CIS /MIS degree or should I go for Health Management Degree?
I am seriously considering Master in Health Administration/Management since most of the IT jobs will go offshore in next 10 years.
I am looking for very affordable College/School which will allow me to finish my degree in with in 6 month to 18 months.

You are the only one who can chose the best option for you. Everyone on this board has an opinion and most (including myself) are not shy to share it with you. But in the end, it's your education and life.

With that said, I'll go ahead and tell you what you should do. jk.

I would ask yourself if you enjoy working in computers. If you do, then pursue a Master's in CS or similar. If you are burnt-out with IT, then go for something different. It's as simple as that. Don't let money or the perceived lack of future employment make the decision for you. If you like computers, you will continue to find work.

Whether you go for the bachelor's in IS or the master's in HCA is up to you. Or you could do both. You have correctly noted that many IT positions are being offshored. On the other hand, with your seniority, you might be somewhat more insulated from layoffs when compared to a newbie. There is a somewhat old post (albeit it dates from when I have been around, so it is no older than February 2005) noting that HCA will be a growth field. I believe it was noted in that thread that one could do a master's in HC IT or an MBA with double major in HCA and IT. Can't say for sure how inexpensive any of these are, nor how quickly you might complete them, but here's a couple degree lists. Anyone heard of ALMEDA UNIVERSITY?

3 months ago I have filled out request about MS degree from Almeda Univeristy. They have recently contacted me, they want be to get MS degree from them, it will cost around $500.

I think ALMEDA is MILL they are not accredited University.

 

Since you already have a Bachelor's degree, you may want to check out Franklin University. Franklin offers a "Subsequent Bachelor of Science" degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and Health Care Management. Their HCM program may be really appealing to you since you can apply 24 credit hours in a health care discipline from transfer credit.
