I've been searching the net all day trying to find something bad about Excelsior college when I came upon this forum. Is there any one here that can give me some advice about joining excelsior college? I have yet to find anything that would tell me not to join. I'm in the Air force and just don't have the time to go to classes. I believe this is a great way to go, but I hear different opinions about online colleges. Most of them are about for-profit colleges (e.g Phenix). One of the things I like about Excelsior is that it's a private non-prifit college.

I'm interested a bachelor's degree in business. I would appriciate any adivice.

    Thanks,

My best advice would be to take as many exams as possible, as soon as possible!

Excelsior college is regionally accredited, and their degrees are accepted by many of the 'name brand' schools; like Harvard. I therefore dont see a problem with this college.

My advice would be to go to their web site and get a catalog. From that you will get a good idea of what is needed for your degree. Armed with this info, you can then start doing exams toward your degree. You can do a substantial number before registering, thus saving quite a lot of money.

Also, there are quite a lot of material, which is either free or at a substantially reduce price for memvers of the millitary.

    Man, go for it.

My Harvard advisor's mother works at Excelsior.

Sometimes it's a frighteningly small world.

I don't know what kind of financial aid Air Force personnel receive, but nonmilitary personnel don't get much help.

You get much more help from http://www.tesc.edu or from http://www.cosc.edu

I am currently enrolled in Excelsior but was laid off work awhile ago and I could sure use some financial aid right now
