Does anyone know what happened to the xenia34 study guides? I can't find them on ebay. I want to take the Humanities and social science cleps..I noticed there are new clep study guides from "Pass your Class" for $7.99. Any luck with these??

I am not certain, but I think xenia34 is now passyourclass. I've had better luck with some of passyourclass's materials than others - but have heard good things about the humanities guide they offer.

For those 2 exams I studied from encyclopedia and REA CLEP general exam guide.

Xenia34 is now passyourclass.com. She has updated many of the guides and are still a bargain at 7.99. If you ask for .pdf you can save the 2.50 shipping cost. I have used many of these guides and they are helpful. However, I would caution against using them as your sole source. If you are "some what" comfortable with the subject, they work as a great brush-up. If you have absolutly no knowledge in a subject, you may want to use more than one source. Especially, if your trying for a score above 50.

    my two cents.....

Thanks for the info! One question

I'm thinking of getting both of her study guides(social science and humanities) and using the Cracking the Clep book along with the Arco book for both exams..
    Any thoughts?

I've used Arco/Cracking for my general math and Natural Science. BARELY PASSED Natural Science. Geez that one Ineeded a 480 and I got a 480 phew! Math I passed with points to spare.
I plan to study these guides instead of cramming this time!

Cracking the CLEP is great for practice exams as is CLEP official guide. Can't comment on passyourclass.com but I found many other CLEP study guides to be less than wonderful. Cliff notes,Barron's EZ101 were the best for subject exams.

If you don't use PayPal, don't expect to buy her guides if you're in a hurry. I tried to buy the one for Sociology and my email corespondence with her was slow and went nowhere.

I ended up just using the study guide from CLEP itself and testing InstantCert out (it disappointed me as well), but I passed with a 72 so all's well that ends well.
