I have been trying to find a graduate degree in Geography from an American institution (RA or DETEC). My search so far has not been successful. Only programs that I found were for GIS (which is not my goal). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you
I believe there was/is a program at Texas State - San Marcos, but it is aimed at teachers at the K-12 level so that might not be what you are looking for. You might want top look at Planning. Iowa State offers an APA accredited program in Community and Regional Planning. http://www.lifelearner.iastate.edu/degree/crp.htm
Master's Degree in Geography Education (Teachers in Geosciences) at Mississippi State University www.distance.msstate.edu
Another teacher program and not Geography but Earth Science. Requires a couple of week to ten day sessions in the two-year program. Might not be remotely what you are looking for but it looks like an interesting program.
Forgot to post the URL and Mr. Heiks beat me to the draw...sigh. http://msstate.edu/dept/geosciences/distance.html
Emporia State? http://www.emporia.edu/earthsci/graduat.htm Much more earth sciences/geology than geography, alas. Angela
If you become sufficiently discouraged in your quest for an American Masters program in Geography then you mght consider looking at the programs offered at University of Melbourne University of Wales - Aberystwyth Good luck. Jack
