I called the Education Office today (I'm in the military) to ask if Tuition Assistance would cover the $65 application fee for Excelsior and they told me, “No.” They also told me that TA wouldn't cover neither the enrollment fees nor the graduation fees. The lady didn't sound too confident in her answers so I wanted to see if there are any military members here who can confirm what she told me was correct.

Rich Douglas is one of the more prominent members of this board. He has an associate's degree and two bachelor's degrees from Regent(s?) College, now known as Excelsior, all earned while he was in the Air Force. I PMed him for you and he assures me that the military TAP program doesn't cover anything that isn't strictly tuition, so named.

Two obvious sources to confirm this: Excelsior and your local military education office. My experiences with both are somewhat dated.

(NB: As is oft-discussed on this board, I didn't actually graduate from Regents College. Rather, I graduated from its predecessor: the REDP at USNY.)

    Consider it confirmed

I am very familar with TA. It will not cover registration, enrollment, or graduation fees.

Did you know you can use your GI-Bill (CH.30) along with TA?

Also remember to apply for financial aid as well.

You get none of the program benefits that you don't ask for...

    Good luck,

    Cory

I emailed Excelsior with the question, but I'm pretty convinced now that I''ll have to pay for the degrees myself.

Cory, I do know that I can use the GI Bill along with TA but I'm not taking anymore classes until after I get my BS, so I wouldn't qualify to use it.
