Bilal Nasrullah and "University of Asia"

I've found old AED posts discussing Bilal Nasrullah, and I think it would be useful to start a thread on his particular schemes. From what has been said about him previously, I think some things need clarification: (1) Does he also run the "University of South Australia"? (2) Has he indeed had a connection to Maxine Asher and her WAUC? I've tried to confirm someone's report that he registered "wauc.org" through a search at the site that apparently registered this, but was not able to find information about who registered the address.

While the the uniasia.edu site appears to be inactive or in transition, the following site is quite developed:
    http://www.arcomnet.net.au/~acre/uniasia/president.htm

The site says that operation is incorporated in Delaware, and gives the address as "9 E. Lookerman St., Ste. 205, Dover, Delaware 19901." This address is in fact misspelled--the correct address is "9 Loockerman St.," and it is the site of many, many other firms operating out of "suites"--pretty clearly, a secretarial-service mail-drop address.

Mr. Nasrullah also appears to be the proprietor of a "dharma center," the Wat Marden in Marden, South Australia. I assume that this is a tax-exempt religious organization from which he draws only a modest, modest salary. (I jest.)

He also appears to have run for, and lost, in some sort of election for some sort of local senate position in Australia.

The University of South Australia is the third university in that State behind Adelaide University, and Flinders University, all duly established under thier own speparate Acts of Parliament as is the requirement, and whose Vive Chancellors are members of the AVCC.

This is all from memory, so no guarantees on accuracy.

Bilal NASRULLAH (as he always wrote it in his various threatening emails to me) had at one time registered WAUC.com or .net. I think the .org was something else entirely.

I remember hearing from someone, though I have no idea if it was confirmed or conjecture, that Bilal had essentially stolen the WAUC concept from Maxine and that there was no connection at all, other than they happened to have the same name.

I wish I could remember the school(s) he was affiliated with, but maybe someone else will remember... or maybe there's something in the groups.google.com archive.

  4. WAUC.NET has one page with the WAUC logo and another that links to "dos de las más prestigiosas Universidades Privadas en Costa Rica, La Universidad Internacional de Las Américas y La Universidad Central, ya han recibido la acreditación como miembros de W.A.U.C." and to WAUC at http://www.web-hed.com/wauc/ It is registered to:

    Record created on 31-Aug-2000.

According to July 2000 posts in a.e.d, WAUC.ORG was registered to Nasrullah. I get However, today when I try to go to wauc.org, I get "Cannot find server or DNS Error" and when I look at WHOIS info I find only --
Registrar: THE NAME IT CORPORATION DBA AITDOMAINS.COM
    Whois Server: whois.aitdomains.com
    Referral URL: http://www.aitdomains.com
    Name Server: NS1.CENTRALINFO.NET
    Name Server: NS2.CENTRALINFO.NET
    Updated Date: 28-dec-2000

    As for WAUC.COM --
    Registrant:
    HIGHLAND INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT LTD. (WAUC6-DOM)
    FOR SALE at DomainCollection.com
    CORAL GABLES, FL 33146 US

Wouldn't it be interesting to put an informational website about accreditation at wauc.com?

(I also received one or two indignant emails chastising me for my ill-informed and malicious remarks -- at least he signed his name.)
