Hello board, Hope everyone is well. Had a question regarding the MIS Dantes exam. Will be taking this one next week and just wanted to know what others have used to prepare for this exam. Any area that you noticed that test focused on? I’ve been using instantcert for the last 2 days and it seems quite simple and straight forward (I also have been working in IT for the last 7 years so maybe helps a bit). Thanks all in advance.
Check the link in my signature line below for my thoughts on that exam. If you find the instacert questions easy or straight forward, you should do fine. Cheers.
I didn't put much effort into that exam, a little bit of instacert and passed. I wouldn't be afraid to take this exam with only a little prep! Good Luck!
twicehalflife, I just took this exam on Thursday and I do agree that Instantcert is right on the money. I'm in the IT field and didn't find this exam too difficult. My particular exam focused on: IT Management (stages/types) SDLC Prototyping RAD DB's types and forms General PC hardware/software terms Hope this helps -John
Thanks everyone for your replies. Clep'n, appreciate the specs. I sure this one will be a breeze. Happy testing.
Good job CLEP'N! Another one in the bag. I will be taking mine tomorrow after work, let you know how it goes : p
I'll be taking this one next week...my last test before I get my AA. How was it? What did you use? I am using instantcert right now, seems pretty good.
Hey SCMASSE, I used insantcert as well as did some googling and wikipedia.com. As mentioned by clep'n, be sure that you understand the software development processes (SDLS, EUD, JAD, RAD and how these are all different from one another). Also, my exam had alot of database related questions and the various types of systems (Executive system, DSS, MIS). Good luck.
Took the exam on the 17th so I am hoping i receive my score by the end of the month (i usually have wait two weeks for a score report here). Will report when i hear back.
