I wonder why there isn't more talk about them around here for a good DETC option? Their MBA is 5K and they are known to have a solid program. Not to mention they are a pleasure to talk to on the phone. Just curious. Anyone have more on them? I do believe that John Bear and/or Rchard Nixon has spoken highly of them.
AJU has been mentioned on this board in the past. I think they have had a somewhat "checkered career" but I agree with you that their MBA program looks interesting. Personally, since I've wasted my LIFE in state employ, their MPA looked like an especially good deal to me. Keep in mind, though, that they are DETC and there are R/A D/L MBA programs out there. Some are even AACSB, I guess. So as always, be sure the degree will meet al present and future needs!
Do tell. Yeah... but $5K. Holy bargains, Batman. $5K! 'Course, so's Ashworth's MBA in that price range -- less, in fact, when you factor-in that Ashworth's includes all texts and other materials... and, like AJU, is nationally accredited. So bargain-for-bargain, Ashworth's the better deal... thought I do like AJU, as nationally-accredited programs go. Indeed... yes, always.
I just call them "Andy Jack U." They seem to be a good option for business study...which is all I have looked at there.
Back in 98 or 99 when I was first looking for a DL MBA program I posted my very first message on the alt.distance.edu newsgroup saying "I've decided to do the Andrew Jackson MBA program" or something like that. At that time I had no clue what the difference between RA and NA accreditations were, or why it mattered. They were around $2500 for the entire program at that time, so it was very tempting to go with them. The next day I got an email from John Bear saying something to the effect of "You might want to think a bit more carefully about that" and giving me more insight into DETC vs. RA and so forth. I guess it was pretty obvious from my post just how much of a newbie I was. I must say that I'm very glad he sent me that email because if I went with AJU I wouldn't have been able to enter a PhD program at UF wihtout having to do another master's first.
