I have a MBA degree and am currently looking for a DL DBA program in either International Business or Marketing/Management. 3 universities in Australia attract me mainly for a) 100% DL, b) low cost; c)low or no residency required. Can any one of you give me some advice on which one of the following is preferred and why? Univ. of S. Queensland, U. of S. Australia, and Charles Stuart Univ.

    Hi there!

Read the thread on Charles Sturt. You will find a vigorous debate about the different schools. I'm in the Sturt DBA while others are in Queensland etc. It should be a great start.

    Hope it helps!

I analyzed the 2 of the universities that you mention and these are the main points of each DBA:

    USQ:
    - You can concentrate in one of the specializations that they offer
    - Proctored exams
    - 100% DL, but some face to face is recommended
    - Could be completed in 3 years ( but this is the minumum requirement, it is hard to achieve this)
    - Low to middle reputation
    - about $23,000 AUD

    CSU:
    - Can be completed on campus also, in case you decide to go for one session
    - No proctored exams
    - University has low reputation but the DBA seems to be of high standard since it is recommended by APESMA, (Australian association of engineers)
    - can be completed in 4 years
    - General DBA, no specialization is offered
    - About $ 17,000 AUD

I decided to go for the USQ, why?
    - specialization in my area of interest (IS)
    - Good research and faculty in the IS area
    - Examination centers in Canada

U.S.A wasn't in my short list because they told me the it can only be completed if you live close to an examination center and there is none in canada.

Good option, but it is far more expensive than CSU or USQ, but if I had the money it would be my first choice.
