Human Potential: What category would it be in

I have a DD from ULC I actually did a bunch of "group dynamics in the congregation" study but ULC degrees are play-toys, I mean honorary, and not tied to research at all.
and a BA - Anthro from U of Illinois (archaeology and Cognitive Anthro)
and an MS - IT from Capella U (Network Security Architecture)

I have been studying throughout my life what appears to be called human potential these days, but when I first started looking into it was called magic.

I am not talking about David Copperfield dissapearing the empire state building on national tv, but the more subtle and harder to track questions of how expectations affect results in various endeavors.

There is a whole lot of anecdotal "evidence" about some interesting effects, the simplest maybe being able to always find a parking place near the door. I read a lot of "new physics" and it seems to be an accepted idea, but the average schmoe is still saying, "When I have a success, it is because of skill and education, but when I have a failure, it is because of danged bad luck."

I do not want a PhD from the U of Metaphysics, though they have a very good class-list for ministerial work. I do not want another play-toy degree, but I am finding it difficult to find a "real" degree that comes near to this. Rosebridge had a serious PhD in metaphysics, but Dr Klimo was apparently removed, or his program was removed when AGSoP bought Rosebridge. I am back looking at distance-ed right now, as I am pretty much happy with my job, and am teaching at a college, and so on...

I have this peculiar notion that I would be able to get research grants if I had a valid (earned) PhD...

If you looked into a traditional Psychology program you could tweak it towards Maslow, Assagioli, et al. You might get some ideas by looking through the Saybrook Graduate School website or maybe even the Naropa University website. Good luck.
