    Hello

I was wondering if anyone here knew of CLEP/DANTES testing centers in Puerto Rico. On the website of collegeboard, it lists no matches for PR.

However, there is a Prometric Center, as well as some military bases. I will be in PR next month and plan to write some CLEP/DANTES/RCE exams while there.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

Their website states that they have a testing center in Hato Rey. You can also try their search engine at: www.collegeboard.org/clep/clepstud/html/stud001.html

click on "CLEP test centers" in the top right corner and then choose "International" in the drop down menu of the search engine.

I also found one in PR. Like Dennis said, the trick is to use "International" in the search field. That seems odd, I always thought that PR was a US Commonwealth.

For DANTES, I got this from the Chauncey Group's DANTES website: http://www.getcollegecredit.com

We are ... but because we're not one of "The 50 States + DC" -- AND the primary language of everyday business/education is Spanish -- private entities handle it as international if it suits them better (public agencies vary according to the political trend). We ARE under the purview of the US Dept. of Education, institutions get RA'ed by the Middle States Ass'n, and local colleges/grad schools use US-designed admissions tests from College Board/ETS.
