Nothing imminent from me. As my wife continues to improve slowly -- oh, so slowly -- from her 16 hours of spinal fusion surgery last December, I can foresee a time when I'll be able to resume writing, but probably not this year. The 16th edition of Bear's Guide goes into production in a few more weeks, but I have no involvement. My daughter Mariah Bear and Tom Nixon are doing it all. Thank for asking. John
John: I thought you said recently that, though you are pretending to be retired right now, the one thing that might get you back in the saddle again might be to publish an edition of _Finding Money for College_ that ain't quite so long in the tooth as the most recent edition (which, annoyingly, has gone out of print). Any more thoughts on that after Dr. Marina gets better?
I find the idea of a small book, combining the essence of advice on choosing a school, and the unusual but proven strategies for financing an online degree program, selling for $10 or less, very appealing. But I'd want to be well along with it before offering it to a publisher (which could be any publisher on earth, except those whose names starts with a number). My #1 favorite project would be updating my "#1 New York Times Bestseller" book, but this would be a close second.
