Hi everyone, looks like I need some help. Do you know any institutions which could help me getting casino management or Casino Hospitality management certificate??? (short courses) Thank you very much in advance ------------------ V man
Talk about a "niche" field of study, huh? Their CCI classes aren't, as far as I know, in a DL format yet, but you might want to look at Atlantic Cape Community College's casino programs in Atlantic City, NJ: http://www.atlantic.edu/casino/ Some of their programs (notably, their training programs for the "eye in the sky" surveillance operators in the casinos) are restricted to people already licensed and employed in the field. The remainder are open-enrollment, but seem to enjoy credibility within the area nonetheless. Best of luck.
I don't know of any DL casino programs but I don know that the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (affiliated with the University of Regina) in Canada such a program just developing or just in its infancy. I will check with a few colleagues and see what its status is. Jeff
You are correct about this. As far as I know, the SIFC isn't going to be offering a DL version, but it might be setting up classes in satellite locations after awhile. Darren.
Dear Vaidonis, Greetings! St. Clair College in Ontario, Canada, offers a distance Certificate in Casino Leadership Studies. Please check this page out: http://www.stclairc.on.ca/vc/online/programs/casinoman.html I hope this is what you are looking for. Sincerely yours, Karlos Alberto Lacaye [email protected]
Hi, looks like they are not I can't find it on their main page. How did you find this web address?? Sincerely, Vaidonis
Hey, Vaidonis! Yes, the certificate is online because it's part of the Virtual Campus. Please see here: http://www.stclairc.on.ca/vc/ How do I find this information? Well, I have many sources, including printed material, virtual material, and software material. Bye for now, Karlos Alberto Lacaye [email protected]
Another Canuck. Welcome. Where is Kamsack (north of Saskatoon)? I remember hearing the name. What are you enrolled in at Athabasca U? What do you think of the courses? North
I am approximately 375km SW of Saskatoon on Highway 5. At AU I am enrolled in the BAdmin (Health Admin concentration). The courses can be quite demanding (especially the "evil" Accounting and Economics ones), but not entirely impossible to do. I appreciate the fact that I do have to "work" at getting a good grade, because it will make my degree worth that much more. Darren.
Good luck in your studies. We have a growing collection of resident Canucks and expatriate Canucks on this forum. North
