Hello. I was just wondering if anyone happened to know what the minimum score for getting credit from Thomas Edision State College is when taking the old paper "Calculus with Elementary functions"? (CLEP recently switched to computer based tests and the scores changed)

Does anyone happen to have any experience with this? I did a search on my own and did notice that COSC and Excelsior seem to have the minimum score at 41, is TESC the same?

I already took the exam but need am not sure if it meets the requirements.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi!

I'm not sure what TESC considers a passing score for the Calculus CLEP -- I took a similar CLEP years ago for TESC and I know I passed, but I can't remember what my score was (I try to block anything related to calculus from my memory.) [IMG]

You should be able to find the answer easily if you call TESC and ask to speak with someone in the Testing Office. I'm sure they keep a list of minimum passing scores.

Generally speaking, you don't have to be Einstein to get credit for the tests -- the passing scores are often not as high as you would think. However, if two other schools require the same passing grade, there's a good chance TESC requires a similar score.

Does your CLEP guide give you any idea as to what letter grade or percentage grade your score would correlate with?

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

    Regards,
    Susan
