There is an English language and preparatory program. Both fees and the cost of living in Toowoomba are modest. Most of the international undergraduate students on campus are from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Graduation ceremonies are held in those countries each year.
Hi Frangop I guess you like this program? Seriously is this an ad and what is your connection to the program? Thanks. ------------------ Best Regards, Dave Hayden
Hi DaveHayden, I can assure you that I have no connection what-so-ever with USQ. It is just that I know that it is an Accredited, legitimate and respectable little uni that offers degrees for the same cost as your average Californian-Approved, but non-RA uni. CFr
...and you had better be sure that the price for an International student tdoing distance education is the same for a local student ... maybe, but I doubt it as the fees are usually fixed at a higher level. Remember it is not a 1 year course. You'll clarify this? ------------------ Peter French, MEd MAcc (UNE) CMA Australia
Hi Frangop Thanks for the reply. It was just somewhat unclear what your motivation or point was in the first post. I appreciate your clearing it up. It sounds like for some the USQ degree may be a good choice. While enrolling in a MBA program keeps crossing my mind, The H-W choice would be first followed closely by say Amberton, CSDH, etc. Again thanks. ------------------ Best Regards, Dave Hayden
I am curious as to your "MBA list". HW is quite different CSDH, I am surprised that someone would be considering both.
Hi Lewchuk Yes they are strikingly different programs. I like the independence and reputation of the HW program. The CSDH appeals to me because of the ease of use. I live in Portland and my hunch is there would be fewer explanations with it. I also like the fact that it comes from CS University system. I am not ready for a Masters program and am not sure I will choose an MBA when I am, but these two are definate at or near the top of my list. ------------------ Best Regards, Dave Hayden
it is a 3 year part time course, $1050 AUD per unit for international students, it is a 12 unit course. It is not an easy course, some people find it difficult.
I really would not worry about ease of use. You may need to explain the DL aspect in either case. Otherwise, "explaning" HW is very easy (from experience). You also may discover that they are familier with the school and are quite impressed (from experience). HW is a very high-quality program with a great reputation. However it offers relatively little structure, is brutally difficult and requires excellent exam-writing skills. If any of this is an issue for someone I would run away.
