We'll, I had to write to say I have been awarded my MBA through California Coast University and had the opportunity to receive it at their university in cap & gown. There are some great staff and faculty there and it meant alot to me to have my family and my father, who was in Woodland Hills, CA area to be able to be with me and see me awarded my degree. For a distance learning program, having a degree awarded rather than received in the mail really feels nice if one has the means to arrange and do so. I am proud of what I see with CCU and it appears they are really taking strides on a ongoing basis and improving various elements of both their programs and enhanced offerings. I am proud to have a DETC accredited MBA through them. It is kind of sad when you are finished in some weird way. I will continue to pop on degreeinfo and various other boards on occassion and seek to share my .02 cents on various topics as they deem important to me or if i have anything of value to share. The whole accreditation system and where it is going, utility of degrees etc. is interesting.
Congratulations on your achievement! I know exactly how you feel about attending the graduation ceremony verses receiving your diploma in the mail. A week ago, I traveled from California to Alabama to walk with my graduating class for my MBA at CSU (DETC). It really does make a difference in meeting your professors and university faculty face-to-face after all of your course work was done online.
I am pondering heavily on pursuing a doctoral program and have spoken with NCU already as well. As my field does not require a doctoral, much less a MBA, it will be solely at my own financial pocket so to speak. I still plan to start most likely a DBA at this point, but it will be for te most part, for personal acheivement, satisfaction and consulting later on as well. It seems you enjoy NCU. it seems like a really good alternative for me as well. My issue still falls on cost of the program being paid solely by myself.
Great Job!!! Great job!!! Once I finish my B.A. (hopefully by next year), I plan to also attend CCU for my MBA. Congrats!! Abner
Congratulations! I assume you began your program before CCU's accreditation. What a wonderful development!
Yes Rich, it was a wonderful development. I enrolled after they had jut applied for DETC and took advantage of their low tuition at that time. It paid off and I am proud of pursuing the program. No regrets here. thanks again.
