I'm looking at the gen ed. requirements for COSC and the first requirement for a BS is 3 credits in aesthetic dimensions/intro to film. How are you supposed to test out of this, or even get credit for this? I cant find a clep for this credit. This leads me to my question, what school is the most stratight forward easiest to test out with?

Depends. Easy how? Most convenient? Lowest required scores? Most variety of exams accepted?

Look for the school that (a) has exams you can order and take, (b) has low scores, and (c) has the widest variety of exams for which they award credit.

Look in the catalog at the list of tests accepted. In addition to credit and level, you will find initials indicating which requirements they fulfill. There are a bunch of tests which meet the Aesthetic Dimension requirement. Maybe the description of the requirement was misleading:

"3 credits in Aesthetic Dimensions (i.e. Introduction to Film)"

They meant, of course "3 credits in Aesthetic Dimensions (e.g. Introduction to Film)"

You don't _have_ to take Introduction to Film to fulfill the requirement--although COSC does offer the course if you want to.

    Good luck.

by easiest I meant being able to test out of the most credits, preferably cleps. I'm still confused, and can't find what kind of clep test would fill the Aesthetic Dimensions requirement?

    Hi all and LIB,

    CLEP Eng/Amer/Analyze Literature or
DANTES Art of Western World will fill that req. Look at COSC standardized exam
page for list of all exam info under academics-acquiring credit.

I found COSC very easy to deal with to complete my degree. "They" are not easy but I found the exams easy.

I do feel COSC is the easiest to deal with. I've had nothing but good experiences.
