Abner, I'm (re-)enrolling in Excelsior this coming week, with only Eng comp and Information Literacy left to get my AS in Business, which I hope I can finish off in the coming 2-3 months. The BA thing will have to wait for some time because of lack of the two resources : time and money...
I also found it easy, but what I find most amazing is that out of the traditional students who have taken two related courses on this subject, half of those receiving C's in the classroom scored less than 50 on the test(effectively not passing), half of those receiving B's in the classroom scored less than the B cutoff point, and half of those receiving A's in the classroom scored less than the A cutoff point (most who post here scored much higher than the A cutoff point). Those who post with disgust about those of us who have used standardized tests should try to understand something about them. Although most of us did find this test easy, how easy is a test that those who have had 6 sh's of credit in perform so dismally on? Oh wait, it's only easy if you don't know the subject...I get it. Maybe the hand-holding is not part of effective teaching, but part of the problem. Tony
Good Job Will! Great Job Will! You are almost there. I know you have been through a lot to get that degree, good for you! Keep me posted. I am waiting for a final to be mailed to my proctor for a course I am finishing up at the University of Iowa. After that I have to wait a few weeks for the grade to be recorded, then I want to go ahead and apply to COSC. I am hoping to only need between 10-20 units to complete my B.A. Let's wait and see, I am lucky because I can take my tests locally. I know it is much harder for you because of the travel costs. Anyway, gotta go have breakfast! Keep up the good work and PM anytime. Take care my friend! Abner
