I have tried for three months to get an answer to this question and would appreciate any insight any of you might have: I am a PhD learner in the School of Education, taking most of my electives in the School of Psychology. Do four 5-unit psych courses equal five 4-unit ed courses toward graduation requirements?

    Thanks for your help,

    Cynthia

As Bruce stated, that depends on the requirements of your school. Under normal circumstances, four 5-unit courses and five 4-unit courses should be identical (20 units). However, the requirements of your doctoral program will dictate how many units of a particular subject will apply.

The chair of your doctoral program or your major advisor should have been able to answer this question immediately. I cannot imagine that a faculty member or administrator at any legitimate school would be unable to answer this question...and after three months??? Unthinkable!

This does not sound like a very reputable institution and I would be very careful not to write any more tuition checks until you get some very specific answers regarding your course work.

Is this a legit accredited university? If not, you may be putting a ticking time bomb into your resume.

    Best of luck,
