Hi: Has anyone had CLEP and DANTES sealed official transcripts mailed directly to their home? I am wondering if CLEP and DANTES will do that. I like to have copies of all my transcripts available, then mail them all directly to the University I am applying to (next month this will be COSC). I llike to do it this way so I am sure everything get there at the same time. Please advise. Thanks, Abner
I always have transcripts mailed to me when I request one for a university. It helps me catch errors (I have found some). CLEP/DANTES will mail a student copy but it costs the same as one sent to a university.
Thanks Coach! Ok, thanks Coach! I just took and passed Analyzing and Interpreting Lit. today, got a 51. I will be finishing up a class with the University of Iowa Shortly, then I want to transfer over to COSC. I am hoping I will only need 15-20credit/units for my Bachelor's. I will find out for sure after I apply. Have a great day, Thanks for the info. Abner
Greetings, Just a warning about CLEP/DSST test transcripts: check them carefully! I took exams both as a total civilian and as a quasi-civilian (USAF), and the ETS folks were kind enough to omit one group of exams (I forget which) when I ordered a transcript. Of course, my name and social security number were identical throughout. Cordially, Richard Kanarek
Abner, hi. I always understood that universities want to receive the CLEP and DANTES transcripts directly, not from the student. Perhaps my perception on this is wrong, but do double check before paying for all those transcripts.
Hi Will Makeit! Hey Will Makeit! Yeah, I think I will get a hold of some e-mail address just to double check. Hope you are doing well. I just took Analyzing and Intterpreting Literature Saturday, I passed with a 51. There goes another 6 credits! Thanks! Abner
Congratulations, that's one I will have to take if I continue on for a Bacherlor's in the future. Did you take it at Webster's?
CLEP No, I took it a local community college. My wife also took the same test that day. They waived her 20.00 proctor fee because she was an alumni at this community college. We found out abou the proctor fee waiver by accident. Anyway, she scored a 67 and I scored a 51. I was just happy to pass! I used the REA CLEP book and CD ROM. They have good pratice tests. I got lucky because a friend of mine lent me this book and CD ROM. You can probably order a cheap copy from e-bay. Take care my friend! Abner
