I hope it is okay to post this here. I couldn't find any rules indicating it wasn't... so forgive me if this is a no-no. I'm new here. When I was new to my field, human resources, this is something I would have loved to have known about.

I teach a 100% online introductory HR course at a local community college (regionally accredited) for 3 credit hours, lower-division level.

This course is somewhat of a rarity in that students do not have to enroll in a degree "program" to take it. Typical of community colleges this course can be taken as a stand alone is very affordable even for out of state students since CCs typically don't cost a fortune.

Anyway, it is truly an introductory course that is mostly targeted to those new to HR, looking to get into HR, HR assistants needing a course like this for their credentials, someone who needs a refresher, etc. I would not consider this a good match for someone who is seasoned in HR.

The course starts in August and runs a traditional semester. Currently, it is only offered during fall semester. Here is the info on it if anyone is interested. Please email me or post if you have any questions. Just wanted to get the word out in case anyone knows of anyone who is looking for something like this.

Thank you to the folks who have contacted me about this course. I appreciate it!

BTW, the cost is $180 for Maricopa County residents and (if I'm reading the catalog correctly-- not always an easy feat!) $255 for out of county/out of state. This includes the "online" fee that the school charges and all credit hour fees, but not the book. However, it can be purchased at Amazon for something like $30 used.

Any other questions, please feel free to post, PM, or email me.

    Thanks.
