Like Athabasca, Royal Roads is in the process of offering a DBA via distance learning. The problem, for some, is it appears they are going to require a three week residency each year of the 3 year program. 2 of the residencies will be in Canada the other will be in a country to be selected by the faculty. Actually, if you have the time it may be an interesting program. http://www.royalroads.ca/Channels/for+learners/admissions/calendar+2004/school+of+business/doctorate+program.htm
No tuition listed for the DBA, but the MBA is about US$40K for international students. I would suspect the DBA would be US$60K or more.
Royal Roads and Athabasca are great schools, however, for the money they are going to be asking for their DBA programs you could get an AACSB-acredited DBA from a B&M school with the same amount of residency. Aston Business School, for example, offers the same degree for less money and AACSB-accredited. I think Manchester Business School is similar.
It is so wierd to think of Royal Roads as a non military school. When I was growing up it was one of the military academies like Sandhurst (sp??) or West Point that was meant to train future officers. Strange world since I left.............and Pierre Trudeau died as well. Next someone will tell me Gordon Sinclair is dead (.....I know he is) and that they took the Beachcombers off the air. North
