Securities and Exchange Commission?

    I know, or think I know, that the FBI, the IRS, the postal inspectors, and various attorney generals have reason to be interested in the activities of degree-mill operators. Would the Securities and Exchange Commission have any reason/mandate to concern itself with such activities?

    The only less-than-wonderful that comes to mind in this regard is Barrington University and its "parent" virtualacademics.com, traded as vadc.ob
