When I complete my MSCS, I would like to start an MBA program. Given my employer's problem domain, I would like to find a DL program that offers a concentration in Human Resource Management. This program would need to be regionally accredited (it doesn't have to be AASCB accredited but that would be nice) and it needs to be a well known school that is well respected. I think I would prefer a school that has a PhD program (although I'm not interested in a PhD at this time.) This is due to my feeling that schools offering degrees at the doctorate level have more gravitas than schools that don't offer doctorate degrees. I'm also not interested in schools that have a reputation as being a "distance learning" or online school.

To start things off, doing a search using gradschools.com I came up with Golden Gate University. Can anyone point me to other schools that might meet my criteria?

Two more programs that meet my criteria are:

    University of North Texas
    University of Wisconsin

Anyone have any experience with these universities or Golden Gate University?

Touro University International has an amazing MBA concentration in HRM and they are one of the few to count as continuing ed credits for certification in HR management by SHRM society for HR management. They offer it as a concentration or a stand alone certification, or both. They have a bunch of faculty from the HR program at Cornell U.
    I quote their site:

"All Graduate Certificates Courses in the College Business Administration (CBA) at TUI may be considered for transfer into the MBA program.

    Human Resource Management
The goal of the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is to provide administrators and practitioners holding a bachelor's degree the opportunity to learn the tools and techniques used to achieve and ensure quality human resource services and administration. The focus will be on presenting the analytical tools and management techniques that will allow human resource administrators and professionals to analyze, assess, and improve human resource delivery, employer and employee satisfaction, accountability and the processes within the organization that ensure ongoing quality improvement. The certificate consists of a series of four graduate-level credit courses designed to provide graduates with current industry practices, leadership and management techniques in analyzing, developing, and directing quality human resources in the workplace.

This certificate program has been approved for 60 recertification credit hours toward the PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). For more information about certification or recertification, please visit the HRCI homepage at www.hrci.org."
