Thank you. I'll pass on Fort Hays. Wanting to complete BA in an Interdisciplinary Program/Gen'l Studies so that I can choose concentration. I've narrowed down lots of research. Unfortunately only left with a few! Hoping schools name and reputation be substantial enough so that one could easily move and not have an issue here, right? If I have to pay more than Murray or Fort Hays for better program then I will. Suggestions on professionally run, excellent delivery formats, faculty? Had Western Ill. and Governor's State on prior list but believe they test using proctors only. WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE FEEDBACK ON NAMES OF COLLEGES NOT REQUIRING PROCTORS FOR TESTING FROM ALL YOU RECENT GRADS! I've learned quite a bit on these threads and appreciate not trying to reinvent the wheel! Beyond RA school, would like to know what most of you have already experienced and that is in regards to what happens once you start your program-how professional and how smoothly does program work? The time and costs are difficult enough without worrying as well about the reputation and poor quality of a program. Thank you!
For what it is worth I am enrolled in an RA and an NA school concurrently. If I were the compare the rigor and workload of the courses which I have completed thus far between these schools I have to say the NA school has been more challenging. Both schools award associate-level, bachelor-level and masters-level degrees. As to the instructors, out of the various instructors I have dealt with during my on-going pursuit of a degree via distance learning only one has exhibited a bad attitude and that instructor teaches at an RA school. As with any school there are good and not-so-good instructors - those with a bad attitude should not be teaching period. We have all encountered such instructors so no more need be said. The professionalism received from the NA school has been outstanding. The decision to enroll at that institution has been rewarding from the outset. Hopefully, the NA school which now has RA candidacy will receive full RA status before the bachelor degree is completed. Good luck in your educational endeavours.
Response to Newby Asking Online BA Grads for feedback Thank you, Sentinel. I am interested in your attending two schools at same time! Must have a plan other than insanity path! Which RA school did you choose to attend? Are you pleased with the program? In regards to class delivery, does course consist of threaded discussions with professor and fellow students? How is testing done? Thank you - truly appreciate learning info. from your experience.
If you are looking for a flexible program that offers Interdisciplinary Program / Gen'l Studies, have you looked at Charter Oak? They offer a good selection of classes so I am sure it could work well as a degree sompletion program. As far as proctored exams, I do not know how they work. If you only need a few classes to complete you BA and wanted to take the COSC approach, you could take classes at other schools, such as UoP, that do not have proctored exams. Hope this info helps.
