Anybody done any of the Villanova programs?

I'm interested in the online Villanova programs. My fear, however, is that they have marketed their online programs so much that they are beginning to look like UofP and HR managers/recruiters will look at the 'Nova certs as not much better than UofP. Any comments? Anyone taken any 'Nova certs online?

 

I took the Villanova cert program in project management. IMO, it just wasn't worth it. One of their representatives told me when I first enrolled that I would be earning college credit with these courses. That was an outright lie. Villanova's certification programs are non-credit.

Was it not worth it solely because of the credit problem, or was the program just crummy? Did it help you in a job search or to secure a promotion/raise? What was good or bad about the experience?

What kind of influence does this program or certification have on job prospects?

What is the increase in pay like?

Any idea on this certification for international people such as canadians?

During a quick Google search, I found that many international students do study for Six Sigma certification. There are many distance programs available.

 

I suppose the program itself was fine, I just felt like my pockets were lightened by the tune of about $5,000 due to a lie from a representative. I probably would not have gone through the program if I knew up front that it was a non-credit program. So far I haven't realized any on-the-job benefits or pay raise from it.
