Hey, now he can tell everyone he went to "Berkley" (or should I say, "Berserkly")!

    What next, "Harvid" University? Jeez....

It's wonderful that your "honorarium" to buy the honorary can be designated for the building fund. Perhaps they plan to wallpaper and carpet the inside of their mailbox campus?

It is an old trick of the phonies to send diplomas to famous people, and then state that said people have their degrees. Giuliani seems an honorable fellow* and it is quite inconceivable that he would either buy a fake degree, or knowingly accept one.

    The Hon. Rudolph Giuliani
    Bracewell & Giuliani LLP
1177 Avenue of the Americas 19th Floor
    New York, NY 10036-2714

    Dear Mr. Giuliani

I think you ought to know that a notorious fake "university" called the "University of Berkley," run from a mailbox rental service in a Michigan shopping mall, is claiming that you hold an Honorary Doctorate from their non-existent school.

I have been a diploma mill and fake degree consultant to the FBI since 1980, and recently wrote the definitive book on the subject with long-time FBI agent Allen Ezell (who founded the FBI's diploma mill task force).* I have lectured on the topic extensively, including three workshops in Washington for the Office of Personnel Management. And I've been the on-screen fake degree expert for Good Morning America (four times) and, last fall, 60 Minutes.

You'll find the claim of your "degree" on their website, at http://www.berkley-u.edu/academ2.html

    Yours sincerely,
