    Hi All:

Does anyone have a source or citation that describes the size (dollars and/or students) of the online/distance education market in the US, and what share for-profit institutions comprise of the total market?

If you can point me to any sources or provide specific information, I would be very grateful.

Thanks so much, and best wishes....

The Chronicle of Higher Education has a "Special Issues and Data" section covering Distance Education, and For-Profit Higher Education, in addition to its "The Chronicle's Interactive Quarterly Index of For-Profit Higher Education".

Thanks to you both for your thoughtful replies -- I was also able to find some presentations online that spoke to these issues in detail...Best wishes!
