I enrolled at Excelsior few weeks ago. I am still waiting for an Evaluation Summary of my previously earned credits, but I already know that, in order to complete the BA requirements, I will have to get 9 credits in Natural Sciences / Mathematics.
That’s not good news for me. I make a living as a journalist and communication consultant, and I have not solved a second grade equation since high school – and that was, well, some years ago…
So, I am looking for the easiest available on-line courses and exams. I guess that DANTAS’ astronomy test will do the trick for the first 3 credits. But what else? Excelsior requires at least 2 credits to be in mathematics or statistics. I suppose that statistics would be easier for me – I am used to analyze political polls.
So, what’s the best (i.e. less challenging) statistics course around? And what course I could take to fulfill the last 3 credits?
    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what Excelsior will accept, but the CLEP Exam in Natural Sciences is recommended as 6 semester credits, check with your advisor. For the remaining 3 credits you'll probably have to do math or stats. You could try a sample exam of a CLEP math test and see where you stand. If it's not good, you might benefit by a residential class at a local community college. Always check with your advisor before committing to anything. Best of luck.

I took the CLEP for General Mathematics and it gave me 6 credits. I used the Comex study guide and the test was quite easy. Good luck.
