Since the search engine is not working I cannot pull up the original post entitled "Decision made."

So, I am going this route. I am now down to a paper and a proctored final and I will have my first course completed. I had hoped to have several completed by now but various circumstances prevented that.

I hope to get two more courses completed by the end of the year.

    Wow!

That's not bad at all, keep up the good work! Two more courses completed by the end of the year, that's pretty impressive.

    Vaya con dios hermano Clifton,

    Abner :)

Thanks, Jack and Abner. I just received my grade for the Key Theological Questions, this is a prep exam for the final. I received a 90.

All other grades received thus far have been 100's. I am pleased. I wanted to do better on the KTQ but FLET is Calvinistic in theology and I have always been Arminian, so I am struggling with the concepts somewhat, but I am learning and thoroughly enjoying it.

Sorry I didn't acknowledge you two earlier. I am not receiving emails when someone posts to a thread I have posted to. I have reported the problem.

Good luck to you Jimmy. Oh and I know you are not a fan, but I am ....Stryper's new cd Reborn is out August 16, 2005. The first single is Reborn and it is quite good. Here is a twist. They (Stryper) are playing with Iron Maiden and Dream Theater on June 18, 2005 in Spain. Interesting. Well , good luck to you and go forward young man.

I have submitted my course paper and now only have the protored exam to take. I was hoping to have three courses completed by now but the problem with my eye several month's ago prevented my completing even one course in a timely manner.

I have two more systematic theology courses to take and then will move on to practical theology courses. Practical theology is really more to my liking and understanding than systematic theology although I have learned quite a bit.

I am enjoying reading Geisler's and Garrett's works.

    Brother Clifton,

It is true that THE SEARCH FUNCTION IS NOT WORKING, but by clicking on your profile button, then clicking on "search for all posts by this user," I have found that "Decision Made" is here: http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17556

Well done on your progress so far.

How long do these courses take - they seem very interesting not to mention very cheap. I am referring to specific courses not the compete programme.

I wonder if the courses could be used towards a COSC degree.

Thanks for the Stryper tip. A friend of mine is a big fan. I'll have to surprise him with a copy of the new cd.

    Hi John,

Each course should only take about two months but I have just been so busy with my church and other endeavors that I am just now, after six months, close to completion of one course.

I don't know about transfers to COSC.

Hard to believe Stryper is still around. But on the other hand, so are Amy Grant, Sandi Patti, and others.

I don't know if you remember Randy Stonehill? He still tours, as well. Small venues though.

No I don't but I just looked him up. I am not a big fan of contemporary worship services even though I love 1950's rock 'n roll.

I do like praise hymns but prefer the old standards like Near to the Heart of God, Amazing Grace, Just As I Am, Softly and Tenderly, Whispering Hope, He Touched Me, How Great Thou Art, Heaven Came Down and Glory Filled My Soul, etc.

And for Unk, A Mighty Fortress is Our God.

This is real church music to me.

I like all kinds of Gospel music. I like the hymns you listed. "Heaven came down. . . " is a great old hymn. I haven't heard it in years. I'll have to talk to our worship leader.
