totally online MBA in 12 months

*Heavily* marketed in Asia, Anaheim University offers an MBA in 12 months.
    Accreditation is here:
    http://www.anaheim.edu/faq/MBAfaq/credentials.shtml
I do not know how they assess the students - anybody has any experience? - but it seems that it is totally on-line.

I am also not so sure about their accreditation, as they state:
"2. Are the University's degree programs designed to meet specific credential requirements?

The University's degree programs are not designed to meet any local, state or national licensing or credentializing laws, nor to meet any requirements established by any private, independent, professional or governmental associations. Prospective students are instructed to check with their respective school districts, state, professional associations and government agencies when licensing and/or credentials are the eventual objective of the prospective student.

    3. Are credits from Anaheim University accepted by other universities?

It is entirely up to the discretion of the college, university or institution for which a student is seeking admission, to decide on the acceptance of the said student into a given degree program. It is recommended that if transfer of credit or degree is the eventual goal of the prospective student, that the student contact all institutions in which the student is potentially interested in seeking enrollment for."

For $980 per course for 10 courses they are not overly cheep, but not overly expensive either.

Does anybody have any experience with Anaheim U.?

Their website states that they are California-approved, which means that they have gone through some evaluation and quality assurance process, but, mind you, California approval is not the same thing as accreditation.

For more on California approval, scroll through the Accredited vs. Approved vs. Unaccredited Board. Or read the accreditation chapter of John & Mariah Bear's _Bears' Guide to Earning Degrees by Distance Learning_. And they used to be called Newport Asia Pacific University. They were founded in 1996, so they're a relatively new school.

I saw an article(or rather an ad disguised as a news article) about Anaheim U in the Japan Times, so I decided to check out their website. They seem to have an impressive faculty, but it seems odd to me that they only have 3 majors, an MBA, an MA in TESOL, and a Master's in Intercultural Relations. I would think with the faculty/advisory board members they list, they would have more than 3 majors.

Also the fact that they are not accredited would be a red flag to me. Even if the school is legit, that could come back to haunt you. Maybe they are just too new?

Actually, that could be a good sign. Those three areas sound like the most in demand for a Pacific Rim market. It seems like the new universities that end up lasting start small and stay focused. It's better than offering 20 fields of which 15 will have to dropped because they don't have the resources... of course this is all assuming they really are legit.
