I am looking for a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice. As everyone else, I am very busy, but still want to accomplish this. I have a lot of experience in the field and want to accompany that with the degree. I want to complete the degree on-line and I want it through an accreditated college or university. I have talked with several schools, but their accreditation is either non-existent or phony. Any suggestions?
There are a few choices: Florida State University http://www.criminology.fsu.edu/dlstudents.htm University of Wisconsin-Platteville http://www.uwplatt.edu/~disted/criminal_justice.htm Indiana State University http://www.indstate.edu Central Missouri State University http://www.cmsu.edu Capella University (MS-Human Services w/CJ concentration) http://www.capellauniversity.edu Any of these are excellent choices, although Florida State is the jewel. In addition to being one of the better universities in the country, FSU's Criminology Department is one of the most respected in the world. I just wish that was available when I was looking for a Master's program. Bruce
New Mexico State University just announced that their M.C.J. program will be available completely on-line. www.nmsu.edu Good luck! Joybaum
I just thought of another option. Marist College in NY offers a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice Administration. This might work especially well for you if you're in a supervisory or administrative position. The webpage is http://www.marist.edu/graduate/mpa/empa.html Bruce
