Not something I would normally submit, but there is a DL angle...

Carrie Underwood, the new American Idol, was attending Northeastern State University in Oklahoma before withdrawing from the college to participate on the show. She had a 3.5 GPA in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Journalism. Although she won the show, she is quoted as saying she still plans to finish her degree by taking an online course. She is only 3 credit hours shy of her BA.

I liked Bo better -- but I knew Carrie would win (the blonde bimbo syndrom - everyone likes a pretty blonde).

    Totally uncalled for commit.
My wife loves AI so I had to endure some of the show. I do not think any of the people that made it to the finals were even close to Kelly or Clay with regard to singing ablilty.
    My 2 cents

Northeastern shot me down when I applied for a FT faculty position in their business dept last year.

Must be that blonde bimbo factor rearing its ugly head again. :D

I kind of like Kerioke -- that is what the show is really about. Personally I like LaToya London (of course, she was from my 'hood).

And - Carrie is a blonde bimbo. (albeit a very pretty blonde bimbo, but a bimbo nevertheless)

    What ever happened to Fantasia?

With a 3.5 GPA, she would qualify as a university honor student. To surmise she is a "bimbo" may rely more on built in bias by the observer.

I wonder if they did hire a blonde bimbo. Hey, I'd wear a big wig and bat my eyes if I thought it'd work.
