I would like to get some training in Excel and get credit too.

Anyone know a good place to take a course like this on the cheap?

Thanks Bruce, the course looks good.

I wonder if most of these basic Intro to Computer Tech cover Excel as well?

You need to find computer applications courses as opposed to computer tech.

BYU (www.byu.edu) does an excellent Excel class in their personal enrichment series -- no credit.

Coastal Carolina University (www.coastal.edu) does a pair of applications courses at 3 credits each by DL -- look for CSCI105 and CSCI106 -- cost may be prohibitive for those outside South Carolina.

Most community colleges do series courses that include the MS applications -- you might want to look in MOUS training and seek Microsoft certification instead of academic credit.

Some schools limit the amount of credit you can receive for computer applications type courses -- Excelsior is among these.

Pierce College has a 3 quarter credit Excel course (CIS 136). My wife occasionally teaches it. It's pretty rigorous.
