    Hallo everybody !

First of all I really wanna thank you fellowz for your support and I firmly and strongly hope that this FORUM will go on forever !

Now I have to ask you another question about exams: I read everywhere that the higher certificate ( and other serious stuff ) to access University is GMAT.
I have read lots of articles about it and I realized that I can take an exam also here in Italy.
Right, now, not considering advices and claims from the official site, can you really tell me whether is it worth ? If it so difficult and if it is important for my future plans, considering that I will apply for a BBA at UNISA on the 1st June.

    Let me know guys !

    Regards..

    Davide f.

    djjjfp,
The GMAT links the others provided is good stuff!
Admittingly I'm not up to date on UNISA's requriements for a GMAT score, and I wonder if you need to take it if you are seeking a bachelors degree?

Many colleges and universties here in the United States requires the GMAT score for graduate students while others dont, however the colleges and universites that require the GMAT will generally ( but not always) have more clout.

Somewhere I stumbled across this formula on how Graduate students are accepted into MBA programs that require a GMAT score, it goes something like this:

your grade point average, example 3.5 multipled by two, multiplied again by 100 + your GMAT score.

    The example again:
    3.5 x 2 x 100 =700 + GMAT score = ?

Like this simple formula, I also heard that most schools seeking GMAT scores want to see a combined score of 1000, some want it higher (naturally the higher you can run it up the better off you are), while others will accept you with a lower score, but seemingly 1000 is the transistional point in acceptance into most business programs.

What the rest of the world requires in GMAT scores, and at what degree level, I simply dont have a clue!
    Best, Gavin

The GMAT for an undergraduate business degree? You don't need one. (Hence, the "G" in GMAT for "graduate.")

    Hey guys...

thank you so much for this precious info !

I'm also considering Empire State College NY; it seems a good school and it offers a flexible degree for me ( clerk full-time ).

Do you reckon it is worth ? I also read in the other threads that you don't have to take exams... and the same is written in the information leaflet.

I also checked it in http://www.unesco.org/iau/onlinedatabases/list.html

and it appears in it.. that means it is legitimate...

Duknow... I'm quite puzzled.. UNISA or ESC ? Maybe an american degree is better than an african one... Fees are more or less the same... around 4/6.000 $..

    regards

I attended Empire State. You do have exams depending on the class. Some classes are totally online while others are e-mail (All accounting classes)

I had no problems with any classes and the teahers were easy to reach and answered questions in a tinely manner.
